Papal Mass at Bellahouston Park 16th September 2010

  1. Tickets numbers have now been issued to each parish and so we are now in a position to begin application for tickets. Applications will be available to every parishioner who a) live within the geographical confines of the parish or b) parishioners from outwith the geographical boundary who attend St John Bosco’s ON A REGULAR BASIS.
  2. Mass will begin on the day at 5.15pm and finish by 7.30pm. There will be a 45 minute walk to the park from the designated drop off point. Provision will be made for people with disabilities to be taken to the park. Provision will be made for those who use sign language.
  3. There will be a suggested donation of £20 to cover travel and other expenses. All pilgrims will be given a pilgrim pack with a mass booklet and CD included. If anyone has difficulty paying this donation, please speak to Fr. Paul in confidence. This suggested donation is a universal charge to exercise a degree of solidarity with pilgrims who may have to travel from further afield.
  4. No one under 18 will be allocated a ticket without having proper supervision.
  5. All pilgrims need to be in place in Bellahouston Park by 3pm. Seating WILL NOT be provided.
  6. Once the allocation has been made, you will be notified and arrangements will be made to collect the suggested donation.
  7. The entire group MUST travel together under the supervision of a pilgrim leader.
  8. Application forms must be returned by next Sunday.
  9. If any parishioners wish to attend the 1. Prayer Vigil, Hyde Park, London Saturday 18th September, Mass of Beatification- Cofton Park, Birmingham, Sunday 19th September please speak to Fr Paul by Friday 30th July.
  10. Please complete an application form for each person who wishes to attend the Mass. Any cheating(!) will render your application null and void.

In partnership with the Roman Catholic Church in Scotland, Scottish Marriage care is delighted to provide a marriage preparation course called FOCCUS (Facilitating Open Couple Communication Understanding and Study.) They are now recruiting for people to volunteer as FOCCUS facilitators. Marriage Care also train people for a Diploma in Relationship Counselling.
