Milarrochy Bay Loch Lomond

and

 Barbecue

Saturday 4th July 2009

Just north of the village of Balmaha and nestled beneath the 361metre Conic Hill on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, (Britains largest inland waterway boasting 37 islands scattered over its 27 1/2 square miles of fresh water) lies Milarrochy Bay and the venue once again for the Bosco Wanderers annual BBQ.

We couldn't have asked for a nicer day weather wise as the Seventeen Bosco Wanderers joined with Sadie & John McGarry's daughter Jane and her three boys on holiday here just now from Hong Kong to take a walk on part of the now famous West Highland Way a short distance north to Sallochy Bay where a break was taken to enjoy the views across the Loch to the villages of Luss and Inverbeg on the far western shore before our return to Milarrochy Bay.

Twenty noses picked up the scent of the BBQ before we even came in sight of mine host "Sherpa" Sadie McGarry who had the Steak Burgers done to a T and a supply of refreshments including Red/White wine for non drivers and hot Tea/Coffee for the rest.

A great day out once more and a big thank you from all who took part to Sadie McGarry for her trouble in preparing the feast for us. THANK YOU!

PS. Over the next few months could anyone who views the web site drop me an e'mail at (bighappytrucker@yahoo.co.uk) just to give me an idea of viewing numbers. Thank you.

Joe Roche.
